AmWorld Backs Women’s Football as Maidenhead United’s New Sleeve Partner

Share via:

A name on a shirt sleeve is a small thing to look at and a big thing to earn. It tells supporters who a club has chosen to stand alongside, and it puts a business’s reputation on show every time the team takes the field.

Backing a club like that reveals what a business stands for, on the pitch and well beyond it. For AmWorld, it connects to a set of commitments we carry across every part of our operations.

A new sleeve partnership with Maidenhead United Women

AmWorld is the new sleeve partner of Maidenhead United Women for the 2026/27 season. Our logo will feature on the sleeve of the women’s first-team shirts across the campaign, supporting the club as it grows the profile of women’s football in the area.

The women’s side competes in the FA Women’s National League, and the club has built a strong reputation for developing players and serving its local community. Backing that work felt like a natural fit for a business built on long-term relationships rather than one-off transactions.

Supporting the growth of women’s football

Women’s football is one of the fastest-growing parts of the game in the UK, and grassroots clubs are where much of that growth begins. They give players a place to develop, a crowd to play in front of and a pathway that did not exist a generation ago.

Sleeve sponsorship helps clubs like Maidenhead United keep investing in that work. Support at this level helps to:

  • Raise the profile of women’s football across the local community
  • Fund a club that welcomes players of all ages and abilities
  • Strengthen the grassroots base the wider game is built on

For AmWorld, standing behind that effort sits naturally within the social side of our ESG commitments.

Sustainability at the core of how AmWorld operates

The environmental side of our ESG work runs just as deep. Founded in 1983, AmWorld has grown into a global white glove logistics partner while keeping a firm focus on reducing our footprint.

Our entire company car fleet is now fully electric, and we continue to add electric vans for domestic deliveries. AmWorld was also the first logistics company to reach CSR Plastic Neutral status with Corsair, and between 2022 and 2024 we removed nearly 40 tonnes of plastic waste from the environment. We work to ISO 14001 standards and partner with the Woodlands Trust on tree planting and woodland restoration. You can see the full picture on our sustainability page.

What ESG means for the businesses we work with

More buyers now choose their logistics partners on values as well as price. If your own customers, regulators or investors expect strong ESG credentials, every link in your supply chain matters.

Working with a logistics provider that takes sustainability and social responsibility seriously helps protect your reputation and supports your own targets at the same time. We explore this in more detail in our guide on how sustainable logistics can boost your brand’s reputation.

Proud partners, on the pitch and beyond

We are proud to stand behind Maidenhead United Women, and just as proud of the commitments that guide our work every day.
