Introducing Ian Bolton | AmWorld Appoints New CEO to Lead Strategic Growth

Share via:

We are proud to announce Ian Bolton as the new Chief Executive Officer of AmWorld.

His arrival marks a defining moment for the business. With over 30 years of industry leadership, including senior roles at DHL and DX, Ian brings a clear vision, deep sector knowledge and the commercial maturity to take AmWorld to the next level.

This appointment reflects more than just a change in leadership. It signals our commitment to growing with intention, scaling responsibly and continuing to deliver the exceptional service that has made AmWorld a trusted partner to leading global brands.

Driving Growth with Clarity and Purpose

Since joining in January 2025, Ian has focused on shaping AmWorld into a sales-led, acquisition-ready business. A formal growth strategy is now in place with a goal to double the size of the company, supported by early acquisition activity and operational improvements already underway.

International courier services remain the foundation of our offering. Alongside that, significant investment is being directed into expanding our freight forwarding division, strengthening our warehousing capability and formalising our same day express delivery services.

Historically focused on London, AmWorld is now expanding its regional footprint across the Southeast of the UK. We continue to operate from our established Netherlands base and are actively exploring a new presence in the United States.

A Message from Ian

Following his appointment, we sat down with Ian to hear his thoughts on AmWorld’s direction, the opportunities ahead, and how he plans to build on the company’s strong foundations.

“What struck me immediately about AmWorld was its solid foundation. The business already had deep customer relationships, a strong reputation for service and a great team culture. My role is to build structure around that success and scale it with discipline and clarity.”

“We’re not interested in growth for its own sake. We’re focused on growing in the right areas, at the right pace, while protecting the service quality and responsiveness our clients rely on.”

“White glove means owning the detail from day one. It’s not just about delivery — it’s about trust, communication and solving problems before they arise. That’s where we win.”

“Internally, I’m focused on giving our people direction and accountability. When everyone understands how their role supports the bigger picture, performance follows — and so does pride in the work.”

“This next chapter is about building a resilient, high-performing business that our clients trust and our people are proud to be part of. We are well on the way.”

White Glove Service from the Start

At AmWorld, white glove logistics is not limited to the final mile. It starts at the very first point of contact. From onboarding through to delivery, every shipment is handled with care, visibility and precision.

This approach is why organisations such as EA, Sony and Universal Music choose AmWorld. It is not just about what we deliver, but how we deliver it. With proactive customer service, real-time tracking, dedicated account management and complete flexibility, our clients trust us to take care of the detail.

Culture That Enables Performance

Internally, Ian has introduced clearer communication strategies, more empowered decision-making and a renewed commercial rhythm. He leads with structure and trust, giving teams the support they need to succeed and the space to take ownership.

Everyone at AmWorld understands their role, their responsibilities and how they contribute to the wider business. That alignment is not just good for performance. It is what enables the high level of service our clients expect, every time.

Committed to Sustainability

As the business grows, so too does our responsibility to operate sustainably. AmWorld continues to invest in electric vehicles, more efficient fleet models and lower-emission options across our operations.

Sustainability is not a marketing line. It is a requirement from our clients and a value we hold ourselves accountable to. We will continue to push for better, greener logistics as we scale.

Looking Ahead

With Ian Bolton now leading the business, AmWorld is poised for its next phase. That means smarter growth, a broader geographic reach and an even stronger operational backbone.

For our clients, it means enhanced service and deeper partnership. For our team, it means being part of a company with clear direction and a people-first culture. For the market, it means a logistics partner that delivers confidence, not just consignments.

We’re excited for the future and proud to be building a stronger, smarter AmWorld together with our clients, our people and our new CEO at the helm.
