Sustainable logistics for a greener, more sustainable future

Investing in our electric fleet

We’re paving the way in eco-friendly logistics by expanding our fleet of electric vans and company cars. This reduces our environmental impact and aligns with our clients’ values, supporting the logistics industry’s shift towards sustainable solutions.

Electric vans can cut greenhouse gas emissions by up to 70% compared to petrol or diesel vehicles. AmWorld has invested in 17 energy-efficient vehicles, including 3 fully electric vans. Our entire company car fleet is now fully electric, and we are actively increasing the number of electric vans for domestic deliveries.

Alongside growing our fleet, we continuously assess transport efficiency, investing in models and technologies that reduce fuel use while recognising current EV range and payload limitations. Our commitment extends beyond vehicles. We offset our plastic use and invest in pollution-fighting and biodiversity projects, including tree planting and woodland restoration.

Sustainable logistics initiatives by AmWorld

Delivering a plastic-neutral future

Reducing our environmental footprint is at the heart of our operations. AmWorld is proud to be the first logistics company to achieve CSR Plastic Neutral status with Corsair, supporting projects like beach clean-ups, recycling infrastructure, and alternative materials research.

Between 2022 and 2024, we removed nearly 40 tonnes of plastic waste from the environment. We’ve replaced 100% of our plastic bags with recyclable, carbon-neutral sugarcane alternatives, grown on reclaimed land, protecting rainforests and biodiversity.

By removing single-use plastics, we’re helping the logistics industry avoid over 200 million tonnes of waste by 2030, and we’re proud to be part of the solution.

Reducing our
carbon footprint

Founded in 1983, AmWorld has evolved from a domestic courier into a global white glove logistics partner. While we support clients worldwide, we remain focused on reducing our operational footprint. We adhere to ISO 14001 standards and international environmental assessment criteria, ensuring our processes meet or exceed global best practices. We also assess any new process or product for its environmental impact before introduction. Internally, we’ve halved printer numbers and upgraded 50% of our lighting to energy-efficient LEDs, with the remainder due for replacement over the next two years.

Planting trees for a
greener future

We’re tackling climate change by supporting tree planting and woodland restoration. Through our partnership with the Woodlands Trust, we’ve helped offset 4.8 tonnes of carbon through tree planting and woodland renovation. Planting a trillion trees could capture two-thirds of human-made carbon emissions. Our work helps improve air and water quality, protect habitats, and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

Sustainability
beyond logistics

At AmWorld, we see sustainability as more than just operational efficiency; it’s part of our DNA and embedded into our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments. From promoting the efficient use of energy, water, materials, fuel, and biodiversity, to actively preventing pollution and minimising nuisance to local communities, we ensure our operations and supply chain partners share our commitment to a more sustainable future. We continue to challenge ourselves and our partners to deliver better, more responsible logistics solutions, supporting our clients’ ESG goals as much as our own.
